Buffon ready to step down if Gattuso fails
Legendary Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has confirmed he will step down as head of the Italian national team’s delegation if Gennaro Gattuso fails to lead the team to the 2026 World Cup. Gattuso has been appointe as the new Italy coach, replacing Luciano Spalletti.
